Does anything happen to the batter in baseball if they get hit by their own batted ball i.e. line drive?

In baseball, a batter is not called out if they hit themselves with a batted ball, also known as a line drive. However, the ball becomes dead and a new ball is put into play. This is because the batter is considered to have made contact with the ball and is therefore awarded first base.

But what happens if the batter is hit by their own batted ball and it results in an injury? In this case, the batter will be awarded first base and the umpire will stop the game to allow the batter to be treated. If the injury is serious, the batter may be removed from the game.
