How many players have hit a home run, gotten an RBI, scored a run, and stolen a base in the same game?
In Major League Baseball history, only 17 players have accomplished the rare feat of hitting a home run, driving in a run (RBI), scoring a run, and stealing a base in the same game. This accomplishment is known as the "4-for-4" and is considered one of the most challenging feats in the sport.
The first player to achieve the 4-for-4 was Jake Beckley of the Philadelphia Phillies in 1891. Since then, only 16 other players have joined the exclusive club, including Hall of Famers such as Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, and Hank Aaron.
The most recent player to accomplish the 4-for-4 was Brandon Nimmo of the New York Mets in 2022. Nimmo's performance was particularly impressive as he did it against the reigning World Series champions, the Atlanta Braves.
