Out of the 30 current Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, there are five that have never advanced to a World Series game or series. These five teams are:
- Seattle Mariners
- Milwaukee Brewers
- Tampa Bay Rays
- Colorado Rockies
- Miami Marlins
These teams have all been in existence for at least 25 years, but none have been able to break through and reach the Fall Classic. The Mariners, Brewers, and Rays have all come close, each losing in the American League Division Series multiple times. The Rockies and Marlins, however, have had less success, with only a handful of playoff appearances between them.
