Chinese actor Leo Wu Lei is set to star in the upcoming Chinese drama "Love Like White Jade." The drama is based on the novel of the same name by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang. Wu Lei will play the role of the male lead, Rong Zhi.
The drama tells the story of Rong Zhi, a cold and aloof immortal who falls in love with a mortal woman named Chu Xuanji. The two must overcome many obstacles, including the disapproval of Rong Zhi's family, in order to be together.
"Love Like White Jade" is expected to air in 2023. It will be the first time that Wu Lei has starred in a costume drama since his breakout role in the 2019 drama "The Untamed."
