How many rounds is a full tennis game?

A full tennis game consists of three or five rounds, known as sets. The number of sets played depends on the level of competition and the tournament format.

In a three-set match:

  • The player who wins two sets first wins the match.
  • Each set is won by the player who first reaches six games and has a margin of at least two games over their opponent.
