Who is Lee Chong Wei?

Lee Chong Wei (born October 21, 1982) is a retired Malaysian professional badminton player. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest badminton players of all time, having held the world number one ranking for a record 349 weeks and winning numerous international titles.

Lee began playing badminton at the age of 11. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the Malaysian national champion in 2003. He won his first major international title, the All England Open, in 2004. He went on to win the title a total of four times, becoming only the second Malaysian player to achieve this feat.

Lee also won the World Championships three times, in 2006, 2009, and 2011. He was a runner-up in the Olympic Games three times, in 2008, 2012, and 2016. He retired from professional badminton in 2019.

Lee Chong Wei is considered a legend of the sport. He was known for his exceptional speed, agility, and shot-making ability. He is also respected for his sportsmanship and fair play.
