What are the Hunger Game Districts?
The Hunger Game districts are 12 districts located in the dystopian nation of Panem. They were created after the Dark Days, when the districts rebelled against the Capitol. As punishment, the Capitol established the Hunger Games, an annual event in which each district must send two tributes to fight to the death in a televised battle royale.
The Districts
Each district has a distinct industry and culture.
- District 1: The Tribute District. Known for its skilled hunters and weapons makers.
- District 2: The Mason District. Provides stone, coal, and other building materials.
- District 3: The Technology District. Produces electronics and other advanced technology.
- District 4: The Fishing District. Supplies fish and other seafood to the Capitol.
- District 5: The Power District. Generates energy for the nation.
- District 6: The Transportation District. Provides transportation and logistics.
- District 7: The Lumber District. Harvests timber and other forest products.
- District 8: The Textile District. Produces textiles and clothing.
- District 9: The Grain District. Grows and harvests grains.
- District 10: The Livestock District. Raises livestock and supplies meat.
- District 11: The Agricultural District. Produces fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural products.
