What is a Walkover in Tennis?
A walkover in tennis occurs when one player advances to the next round or wins a match without having to compete. This happens when the opposing player withdraws from the match before it starts or fails to show up for the match. A walkover can also occur if a player is injured or unable to play for any reason.
When a walkover happens, the player who receives the walkover gets an automatic win and advances to the next round or wins the match without having to play. The player who withdrew or did not show up gets a loss and is eliminated from the competition.
