Why is Tito Ortiz fighting for Bellator and not UFC in 2015?
Tito Ortiz, a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, made his Bellator debut in 2014 after a lengthy absence from the sport. Many fans were surprised by this move, as Ortiz had been a fixture in the UFC for over a decade.
There are several reasons why Ortiz may have chosen to fight for Bellator instead of the UFC. First, Bellator may have offered Ortiz a more lucrative contract. Second, Ortiz may have felt that he had a better chance of winning a title in Bellator, as the competition is generally considered to be weaker than in the UFC. Third, Ortiz may have been looking for a change of scenery after spending so many years in the UFC.
Whatever the reasons, Ortiz's decision to fight for Bellator has been a successful one. He has won three of his four fights in the promotion, including a victory over Wanderlei Silva. Ortiz is now scheduled to challenge Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Liam McGeary in 2015.
