Did anyone else really like Suicide Squad?
Suicide Squad is a 2016 American superhero film based on the DC Comics antihero team of the same name. The film was directed by David Ayer and written by Ayer and John Ostrander. It stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, and Cara Delevingne. The film follows a task force of incarcerated supervillains who are recruited by the government to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency.
The film received generally negative reviews from critics, who criticized its plot, characters, and direction. However, it was a commercial success, grossing over $746 million worldwide against a production budget of $175 million.
I personally really enjoyed Suicide Squad. I thought the characters were well-developed and the action sequences were exciting. I also thought the film had a great sense of humor. I can understand why some people didn't like the film, but I thought it was a lot of fun.
