What's the Dumbest Thing You've Seen at the Gym?

Gyms can be breeding grounds for strange and bizarre behavior. From people who grunt excessively to those who take up multiple machines at once, there's no shortage of things that can make you shake your head in disbelief.

But one of the dumbest things I've ever seen at the gym has to be someone trying to do a bench press with their feet. Yes, you read that correctly. They were lying on the bench with their head at the bottom and their feet on the bar. I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish, but it was definitely one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen.

Of course, this is just one example of the many dumb things I've seen at the gym. Here are a few more:

  • People who use the wrong weight. It's always amusing to see someone struggling to lift a weight that is clearly too heavy for them.
  • People who don't put their weights back. This is one of the most annoying things gym-goers can do. It's common courtesy to put your weights back on the rack when you're finished with them.
  • People who hog the machines. It's frustrating when you have to wait for someone to finish on a machine, especially when they're not actually using it.
