How come Adam Peaty has so many tattoos if you can't swim after having one?

Adam Peaty, the British Olympic swimmer, has several tattoos, including a large shark on his thigh and a smaller one on his bicep. This might seem strange, considering the common belief that you can't swim after getting a tattoo. However, this is not entirely true.

While it is true that you should not swim immediately after getting a tattoo, this is only because the open wound needs time to heal. The ink from a tattoo can contain bacteria, which can cause infection if it enters the water. Once the tattoo has healed, however, there is no reason why you cannot swim with it.

Peaty's tattoos are healed, so he can swim with them without any problems. He has even said that he finds his tattoos motivating, as they remind him of his achievements and the hard work he has put in to get where he is today.
