My AC is not coming down I have set the temperature to 24 C and it is stuck on 28 C Why is that Also I have RT written
Reasons why your AC is not cooling down to the desired temperature:
- Dirty air filter: A clogged air filter restricts airflow, reducing the AC's cooling capacity.
- Refrigerant leak: Refrigerant is essential for cooling. A leak can cause a drop in cooling efficiency.
- Condenser coils: Dirty condenser coils can prevent heat from dissipating, affecting cooling.
- Faulty thermostat: A malfunctioning thermostat may not accurately measure the temperature and adjust the AC accordingly.
- Oversized AC unit: An AC unit that is too large for the space it is cooling will not remove enough moisture from the air, making it feel warmer.
- RT: RT stands for "Room Temperature" and indicates that the AC is set to maintain the current room temperature, rather than cooling it down.
What to do:
- Check and clean the air filter regularly.
- Schedule professional AC maintenance to inspect for refrigerant leaks and clean coils.
- Verify the thermostat settings and ensure it is communicating accurately with the AC.
- Consider the size of the AC unit and ensure it is appropriate for the space.
- Reset the AC and ensure the RT setting is not enabled.
