A running head is a header that appears at the top of every page of a document. It typically includes the title of the document and the page number.

To create a running head in Google Docs:

  1. Click the "Insert" menu and select "Header & footer."
  2. Click the "Options" tab and select "Different first page."
  3. In the "Header" section, click the "Running header" checkbox.
  4. Enter the text you want to appear in the running head.
