What if someone told you that you are recyclable trash? How would you take that?

If someone were to tell me that I am recyclable trash, I would be offended. I am a person, not trash. I have value and worth, and I deserve to be treated with respect.

However, I would also try to understand why the person said that to me. Maybe they are feeling angry or hurt, and they are taking it out on me. Maybe they have been taught to believe that people like me are worthless.

If I can, I would try to talk to the person and explain how their words are making me feel. I would tell them that I am not trash, and that I deserve to be treated with respect.

I know that not everyone will understand or agree with me. But that's okay. I will continue to stand up for myself and for others who are treated like trash.
