Will Boxing be in the LA28 Olympics?

Boxing has been an Olympic sport since 1904, and it is one of the most popular sports in the world. However, there have been concerns that boxing may be dropped from the Olympics in 2028 due to concerns about athlete safety and the sport's governance.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has been reviewing the boxing program for several years, and in 2019, it suspended the International Boxing Association (AIBA) from organizing Olympic boxing competitions. The IOC cited concerns about AIBA's governance, financial management, and refereeing and judging.

In 2021, the IOC announced that it would be creating a new boxing task force to oversee the sport's Olympic future. The task force will be responsible for developing new rules and regulations for boxing, as well as ensuring that the sport is properly governed.

The IOC has not yet made a final decision about whether boxing will be included in the LA28 Olympics. However, the task force is expected to make its recommendations to the IOC in 2023.
