Why was the Major League Pickleball 6th event of 2023 abandoned in favor of a two day Super Finals event

Major League Pickleball (MLP) announced that the sixth event of its 2023 season, scheduled for August 11-13 in Newport Beach, California, would be canceled and replaced with a two-day Super Finals event on October 6-7 in Mesa, Arizona.
