How Long Has Tyson Fury Been Boxing?

Tyson Fury is a British professional boxer who has held the WBC and The Ring heavyweight titles since defeating Deontay Wilder in 2020. He also previously held the unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016.

Fury began boxing at the age of 10, after watching his father, John Fury, fight. He had an amateur record of 31–4 and won the ABA super-heavyweight title in 2008. Fury turned professional in 2008 and quickly established himself as one of the top prospects in the heavyweight division. He won his first 25 fights, including victories over Dereck Chisora, Steve Cunningham, and Kevin Johnson.

In 2015, Fury defeated Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles. He became the first British boxer to hold all four major heavyweight titles simultaneously. Fury vacated the titles in 2016 due to mental health issues, but returned to the ring in 2018.

Fury has been boxing for over 15 years. He is one of the most successful British boxers of all time, and is considered one of the best heavyweights in the world.
