What States Are Without NFL Teams?
The National Football League (NFL) is the most popular professional sports league in the United States. However, there are six states that do not have an NFL team:
- Alaska
- Delaware
- Hawaii
- Montana
- North Dakota
- Wyoming
These states are all relatively small in terms of population, with the largest being Alaska with approximately 730,000 people. As a result, it is difficult for these states to support an NFL team, which typically requires a large fan base and a large stadium.
In addition, the NFL is a very competitive league, and it is difficult for new teams to enter the market. The last NFL team to be founded was the Houston Texans in 2002.
Despite the lack of NFL teams in these six states, there is still a lot of interest in the sport. Many people in these states follow NFL teams from other parts of the country, and there are a number of youth football programs in these states.
