Is the Stanley Cup Always at the Hockey Hall of Fame?
The Stanley Cup, the iconic trophy awarded to the winner of the National Hockey League (NHL) Stanley Cup Finals, is one of the most coveted prizes in all of sports. But where is it kept when it's not being hoisted by victorious players?
The Answer: No
Contrary to popular belief, the Stanley Cup is not permanently housed at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. While the Hall of Fame does have a Stanley Cup display, it is only a replica.
Where Is the Cup Kept?
During the NHL season, the Stanley Cup travels with the reigning champion team. After the Finals, it is engraved with the names of the winning players and staff and then embarks on a cross-country tour. During the off-season, it is stored in a vault at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
