How Many Players Are There in Field Hockey?
Field hockey is a team sport played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by hitting a ball into the opponent's goal using a stick.
Each team has 11 players on the field at a time, including one goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is the only player who is allowed to use their hands or feet to touch the ball inside the goal circle.
The other 10 players are divided into five positions: two defenders, three midfielders, and five forwards. The defenders play in front of the goalkeeper and are responsible for stopping the opposing team from scoring. The midfielders play in the middle of the field and are responsible for both attacking and defending. The forwards play in front of the midfielders and are responsible for scoring goals.
The game is played in two halves of 35 minutes each. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins.
